I’ve got a lot of memories over my years – so as I’m turning 40, I decided to turn the memories in to a blog. This is completely new for me & will probably sound like a load of rubbish.
But memories are important to keep! So here it goes… The good, the bad, the ugly & everything inbetween!

It all began 29th June 1986 at 2.10am. I arrived into the world weighing 7lb.6oz. My Mum, Suzanne, was beautiful! Big brown eyes, big curly brown hair & 24 years old, starting her life as my Mummy.
I’m sure I probably cried a lot & She wondered what she had gotten her self into!
My family came to visit me in hospital, with my new Mummy & Daddy watching on! My sister Charlotte, Auntie Cathy, Grandma Brenda & Grandad John. I obviously don’t remember this, but my pictures tell me a great story.
We went home to 1 Northumberland Road, not far from the hospital I was born in – St Marys. My two dogs were waiting for me – Sheba & Tiny Tim. More pictures show me with my visitors, Grandad & Grandma Bournemouth (Charles & Kamma) Aunty Carol, Auntie Beryl & Uncle Dennis.

Being a baby, I don’t remember much from this time, except, being with my Mum & Grandma Brenda being pushed around in my pram down the lane from Sylvan drive, where grandma lived, then into Newport town.
The next thing i do remember, is being out at the chale show with Mum & Grandma in August 1988. After the event, me and mum came home. My Dad was at work. He was a prison officer at Parkhurst, just around the back of our house. Mum put me to bed & went on the phone to grandma, she had a headache & wanted to go to bed. Grandma came round to babysit me until dad came home. That’s when my whole world & life was about to change.
My mum went to sleep & fell into a sleep she would never wake from.
My mum suffered a brain haemorrhage & died. 14th August 1988, She was just 26 years old & I was 2.
My dad returned from work & Grandma started to walk home. Dad went upstairs to check on me & mum. He found mum lifeless in bed. He screamed for Grandma out of the window & attempted CPR, but she had sadly already been gone a long time.
The house instantly filled with ambulance crew & police. I remember being stood at my bedroom door, behind my stairgate, unaware what was going on & who all these people were? I was picked up by someone & given to Grandma, so was sat downstairs in the front room. Little did i know it was going to be just me and my daddy from now on!!
My Dad – Alan, is the most amazing man you will ever meet! I became his shadow, we did everything together & went everywhere together for the next few years. Played together, bathed together & shared fried eggs on bread for breakfast.
